What is probably thee best part of Christmas or any holiday? The FOOD! We all know there is nothing better than indulging in our favourite snacks and treats during the holiday season. This brings me to Day 5 of the series, featuring Saskatoon's original artisan box company, The Prairie Grazer!
When I heard about Meagan & Cristie's business, I think I honestly started drooling instantly lol - if you know me, I LIVE for all things charcuterie - fruit, cheese, prosciutto, love it! They are a new business and have become very popular in such a short amount of time, and for good reason too. They specialize in grazing boxes packed full of tasty artisan cheeses, meats, nuts, fruits, you name it - they have it- that can be made to order. Charcuterie boards are always a hit at any dinner party or gathering I have been to, and these ladies can take the pressure off of you by prepping a beautiful table or board for you at your next gathering (when it is safe to do so again, of course!). It doesn't have to be a party to order one of their boxes either, they can accommodate almost anything - a stay-in date night, a treat yo'self Tuesday, they have you covered.
The idea for the Prairie Grazer came to fruition during a trip Meagan took to Tofinio and came across a similar shop that always sold out of their grazing boxes, and right away she recognized the need for something like this in Saskatoon - and she was totally right! Their artisan boxes change weekly and they partner with local companies to source their items which I think is so great - local supporting local! They are licensed and insured, all while keeping COVID in mind and making sure they are providing their service safely to the public. They also do gift cards so you can gift someone a unique Christmas present this year!
So if you are wanting to treat yourself after a long week, or you're passing through Saskatoon and have a craving for some local goods, reach out to them on their Instagram page or email theprairiegrazer@gmail.com and place an order. They usually need about 48 hours notice to make sure your artisan box is as fresh as can be! Happy Grazing :) !
